ep 26 “on mission: our homes” with joe and stephanie hopson
Today I am chatting with Joe and Stephanie Hopson on how God can use our homes to partner in sharing His love with others. Sometimes it all it takes is just opening our door…being available for friends or neighbors, having another family over for dinner, or walking down the road of fostering and adoption.
Is it possible for joy and chaos to exist together in our homes? How can we practically counsel our hearts on the days that seem hard and beyond doable? Reflecting back, how have you seen the Lord prepare your hearts for the work he has set before you? As you choose to take those faith steps of obedience, what has caught you by surprise in how the Lord has worked? How has the Lord worked in the lives of your children as you have opened your home?
We are continuing on in our seriest entitled “on mission” strategically evaluating how God desires to leverage every aspect of our lives for his glory and kingdom opportunities.
ep 23 “on mission: our families” with chris and sabrina miller
I am sitting down with some good friends of mine and parents of 11, Chris and Sabrina Miller. For those of you who are local and know them, we recorded this interview last summer before they set off for the Philippines. I wanted to offer some context to our conversation. We are chatting candidly about living missionally as a family, trusting God in the unknown and His amazing work in the inconceivable and unexplainable.
Today we are starting a new series entitled “On Mission”. We asking the Lord to open our eyes to all the different ways we can apply the gospel and live out His call in every area of our lives. What can seem scary or intimidating can be one of our coolest adventures, as we learn how to recognize his promptings and where He is at work in and around us.
I hope this conversation brings great encouragement. Thanks for joining us….I’m glad you’re here.
ep 6 “relationships: what about the wait?” with katy anderson
What do you currently find yourself waiting for right now? It can be so easy for us to feel like our lives are “on hold” while we wait; for our “waiting” to become our focus, all that we see. We are kicking off our relationship series by sitting down with katy anderson. We are talking about singleness and how we can learn to wait well in a way that glorifies God. What does this look like in our day to day? How can we keep the focus of our “wait” from occupying our minds and becoming an idol?
